Not every tennis tournament plays at a time that lines up comfortably with the Belgian day.

The Australian Open, for instance, is played in Melbourne, which is nine to eleven hours ahead of Belgium, so many matches wrap up overnight or early in the morning, Belgian time. Tournaments in the United States, such as the US Open or a Masters 1000 event like Cincinnati, run six to seven hours behind Belgian time, which means evening sessions there often fall late at night or overnight, Belgian time.

A live scoreboard is especially useful in those cases: during the day, once you're awake, you can immediately see what happened overnight, without having to stay up yourself to follow every set.
Reading a scoreboard: sets, tiebreaks and breaks
Set score (e.g. 6-4)
A set score like 6-4 means a player won that set by 6 games to 4.
Tiebreak (e.g. 7-6)
If the scoreboard shows 7-6, that points to a tiebreak: at 6-6 in games, an extra sequence of points was played to decide the set, and the winner of that sequence is credited with the set at that 7-6 score. Break
Live scoreboards also often flag when a player makes a break: that means winning the opponent's service game, which is relatively rare in tennis because the server usually holds an advantage. A break can decide a tight set and is therefore often called out separately in a live display.
