The Jupiler Pro League is the top division of Belgian football (also known as the Pro League, Eerste klasse A or D1A). From 2026-2027 it moves to a new format: 18 clubs, 34 matchdays and no more play-offs; whoever leads after 34 matchdays is champion. The season runs from 7 August 2026 to 23 May 2027. What is the Jupiler Pro League?
The Jupiler Pro League is the highest level of professional football in Belgium. Its official name is Eerste klasse A (or Division 1A); the commercial name refers to main sponsor Jupiler and organiser the Pro League. The competition has existed since 1895 and is one of the oldest on the European mainland. It is known for its intense derbies and for the young talent that goes on to reach the top of European football.
The 2026-2027 competition format
From 2026-2027 the Jupiler Pro League returns to a classic format, the biggest change in years. Eighteen clubs play across 34 matchdays in a single regular season, with everyone facing everyone else twice. The play-offs are scrapped and points are no longer halved: whoever leads after 34 matchdays is champion.

This season eighteen clubs take part, including newly promoted SK Beveren, KV Kortrijk and Lommel SK, who came up thanks to the expansion from 16 to 18 clubs. The title holder is Club Brugge, which claimed its twentieth national title last season. Here are the record champions:
